Background & Purpose of the Job

This position will support the Walmart/Sam’s Club Team Director and Customer Business Managers for Elida Beauty. This entails proactive analysis of current business trends, which includes identifying future opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business. Item setup and maintenance. Internal and customer presentation building.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The position will require advanced skills in managing the Walmart’s Retail Link system, Sam’s Club Madrid 2.0, Nielsen/IRI, Internal Elida systems SASS, Merlin and Evergreen, as well as being proficient in Tableau & Microsoft Office. The role is responsible for weekly analysis and reporting of sales, trends, and competitive activity, along with creating actionable insights from the analysis of these trends.

+ You’re a strategy guru: The position will interact daily with Supply Chain, Insights, category management, shopper marketing, and our retail teams to drive our business and ensure goals are met. Significant interaction with the customer is required.

+ You love to win, and have fun doing it: The position will require managing multiple data feeds and analyzing that data to find the nugget of information that will enable our team to win in the marketplace. A highly analytical background along with a desire to win are attributes needed for our candidate to succeed in this role

+ You’re a story teller: The position will require timely communication and in depth analytical support focused on business solutions. Reporting and managing professional presentations are necessary for the role, but the ideal candidate will also have the ability to effectively communicate that idea or story.

+ You’re a dot connector: The position will require the ability to retrieve and analyze many different data points from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have the ability to connect these points quickly to understand emerging trends as they are happening.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

+ Driven individual who takes pride in her/his work and professional contributions

+ Bachelor’s degree required (business/marketing/communications), MBA preferred

+ Minimum 1 year related experience: demonstrating knowledge of customer, data, systems and ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations required.

+ Customer management/service or finance background is a plus.

+ Strong analytical abilities, including ability to access, process, simplify, and communicate complex data from multiple sources

+ Microsoft Office: Excel & Power Point proficiency required

+ Experience with Syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI), Walmart Retail Link required

+ Experience with: Sales recaps, Spending/Forecasting reporting preferred

+ Working knowledge of sales management systems, demand forecasting, and budgeting

+ Basic understanding of consumer goods sales principles including retail math and P&L

+ Ability to work successfully in an extremely fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

+ Ability to work effectively and independently to manage and own processes, tasks, and projects with minimal support and supervision

+ Skilled verbal and written communicator

+ Ability to manage ambiguity and complex situations

+ Ability to relate with multiple levels of external and internal management

+ Ability to build strong relationships
