The Payroll Tax & Reporting Specialist is responsible for compiling and remitting federal, state, and international tax obligations that are not managed by our payroll tax vendor(s) . This role will also manage the audits and validation of the accuracy of our vendors’ filings. This role will demonstrate an expert knowledge of payroll tax and compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This position will support payroll tax and reporting for our global population; other duties may be assigned.
+ Manage teammate jurisdiction setup in payroll system and verify appropriate forms are completed
+ File and remit payment and reporting requirements to local tax agencies not managed by vendor.
+ EMEA: PAWW, Social Taxes, Relief Programs
+ APAC: Social Taxes, Federal Employer taxes, Teammate Withholding Taxes
+ LATAM: State Taxes, Social Taxes, Statutory Reimbursement Payments
+ NA: RRSP, T2200, Revele 1 Forms, Local taxes
+ Audit vendor tax payments and filings for accuracy
+ Support processing Quarter-End, Year-End, and Annual tax year reports
+ Monitors tax changes and compliance ordinances to stay relevant
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
+ Ability to effectively manage and meet multiple critical deadlines
+ Understanding of Equity and Stock related transactions
+ Knowledge of In-Patriate and Ex-Patriate payroll and tax scenarios
+ Communicates well both verbally and in writing with team members of all levels across the organization
+ Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people of across our global population
+ Communicates clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; responds well in challenging situations
+ Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
+ Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner
Education And / Or Experience
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll tax for a large payroll operation with Multi-State and Multi-National population, required
+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent payroll experience) in Accounting, Business, or a related field, preferred
+ Location: This position is fully remote
+ Knowledge of general accounting practices (journal entries, general ledger reporting, etc)
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
+ Significant experience in Excel, including advanced features (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
+ No relocation provided
