Job Description

The Manufacturing Finance Business Partner serves as a trusted business partner in the S&F organization and provides financial leadership as the co-pilot and financial accountant for manufacturing sites. The primary purpose of this role is to partner with manufacturing associates in the pursuit of operational excellence and cost efficiency through a variety initiatives including: cost & inventory management, Do It Best activities, asset utilization, governance and controls, and building financial acumen. This position provides transparency on operating results and clarifies key performance indicators for Manufacturing through variance analysis, cost structure analysis, benchmarking, period reporting, and strategic planning.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;MBA, CPA or CMApreferred.
  • 5+ years relevant work experience, with manufacturing or supply chain business partnering experience
  • Ability to travel up to 35%

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Supports the planning, period close, inventory management, supply systems, and forecasting processes as follows:
    • Leverages site and technology financial analytics and to build reporting in support of understanding period results, inventory movement, and planning/forecasting process to drive financial insights
    • Develops and maintains routings/standards for all items manufactured at the site.
    • Ensure accuracy of inventory (raw, pack, and FG) across thesupply systems in accordance with the finance manual and cycle count policy
    • Prepares and analyzes cause-of-change schedules to shift patterns each period.
    • Provides volume/mix analysis to support cost structure, decision making, and commitment delivery and reflects properly in the site forecast
    • Completes ad-hoc analyses as required.
  • Co-pilots the SOI (Supplier owned inventory) project across the network to unlock cash from working capital working with the Commercial Team, Primes Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Partners with the site teams, both management and floor associates, to identify cost improvement/efficiency opportunities and value added innovation. Tracks savings on implemented projects and reports progress against annual efficiency targets.
  • Leads the operating plan, revised forecasts, and strategic planning cycles for manufacturing. (Scope includes productivity, manufacturing costs, NQC, DiB, and inventory).
  • Verifies proper financial controls are in place and operating effectively as follows:
    • Partners with site manager to foster an effective control environment.
    • Observes inventory cycle counts and reviews proposed inventory adjustments.
    • Collaborates with peer Supply Finance Managers on the standardization of inventory control processes.
    • Reviews inventory reconciliation to ERP system and inventory management systems to ensure accuracy of reported balances.
    • Coordinates efforts with external financial auditors when site is selected for inventory observation.
  • Collaborates with Supply Finance Senior Manager and Supply Finance Managers to identify, develop, and deploy game-changing tools that provide actionable insights across the network and drive network optimization strategy.
  • Contributes to the culture of accountability and responsibility at manufacturing sites by tracking action plans for key initiatives, addressing root cause issues to drive sustainable operating improvements. Identify trade-offs and escalate operating plan variances as appropriate.
