This position occupies a key role in the manufacturing team of the NEMA Motors in Motion.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager Motors, you will assist maintenance in the procurement of necessary MRO supplies as well as maintain accurate inventory in stock room. The objective of this position is to reduce downtime through the effective procurement of MRO products.This position reports to
Maintenance Manager MotorsYour responsibilities
Using the Baldor BUS System, issue purchase orders for all supplies used in the maintenance department and maintain vendor managed inventories for supplies
Audit Inventory levels through cycle counting and conduct inventory audit
Stock received inventory into appropriate locations, configure and request Z numbers and ensure that it is identified in the BUS system
Prepare and maintain parts usage, check on shortages, enter items consumed for requisition slips, and prepare reports
Monitor order status, shipment and expedite items as necessary, Report on daily shortages
Maintain vendor managed inventories and to locate cross parts when needed from different suppliers
Work closely with others within the Maintenance Department
Overtime as needed (some with short notice)Your background
HS Diploma or equivalent required and minimum 2 years of experience in materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, maintenance, warehouse experience preferred OR
Associates or Bachelors Degree and minimum 0-2 years of experience in materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, maintenance, warehouse experience preferred.
Working experience with SAP preferred Professional written and oral skills are essential,
working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train.
Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure
Must be willing to attend classes for additional job-related training and Capable of balancing speed and accuracy to achieve efficiency
