Job Highlights


Adherence to and support ofLanxess Environmental, Health, and Safety policies

Support of the Maintenance Work Process.

Cutting, welding, steel fabrication, and pipe fitting.

Maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, air / gas compressors, blowers, glass, and glass lined steel equipment and hydraulic systems, tanks and pressure vessel, mechanical seals and all other process equipment

Alignment of rotating equipment

Troubleshooting equipment failures

Record keeping




High School Diploma

Technical degree preferred

Two (2) years or more mechanical experience in a chemical petrochemical industry a plus, ability to demonstrate precision repair and rebuild of rotating equipment, laser alignment, pipe fitting and valve repair

Must have excellent communication skills (written, oral and comprehension)

Computer skills a plus

Must be willing to work scheduled / unscheduled overtime, call-outs, and week-end / holiday coverage as required

Successful candidate must complete Maintenance Training Course, (10 volumes, TPC training material) per established schedule

Must have a willingness to learn and work in an ever changing environment

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Must have a valid driver's license
