Texas A&M University-Texarkana seeks full time (9-month appointment) faculty members at either the Instructor or Assistant Professor rank to develop and teach courses for the MSW and/or BSW programs beginning Fall 2022. In addition to demonstrating excellence in teaching, the new faculty members will teach day and evening classes in a variety of formats, i.e. online, face-to-face, hybrid. They will also assist with program development, student advising, and accreditation of the new BSW program. New faculty members will support the MSW program by addressing student needs and developing community partnerships. The successful candidates will also assist program leadership, as well as the dean, with the implementation of program, college, and university goals.

Responsibilities:+ Teach courses in the BSW and/or MSW program in a variety of formats (online, hybrid, face-to-face)
+ Advise students
+ Work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines
+ Contribute to curriculum and progress towards program accreditation
+ Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
+ Perform scholarly research (Assistant Professor rank)
+ Engage in community service and social work practice (Instructor rank)
Minimum Qualifications: Instructor rank:+ An earned MSW Degree from a CSWE-accredited program
+ A minimum of 3 years post-MSW practice experience
+ Current clinical licensure
Assistant Professor rank:
+ Earned DSW or Ph.D. in social work, social welfare, or closely-related field. ABD will be considered but the terminal degree must have been awarded at the time of appointment.
+ Record of teaching excellence in social work or related field
+ Evidence of scholarship and research agenda
Preferred Qualifications (any rank):+ Demonstrated academic experience with diverse populations
+ Exemplary written and oral communication skills
+ Demonstrated commitment to develop the program’s curriculum
+ Demonstrated interest in program leadership
+ Experience working with CSWE accreditation
+ Clinical experience working with children, trauma, or addictions
