Job Description

Description Robert Half’Microsoft Desktop Support Technician role is for someone with a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. This job is for Information Technology industry candidates. We’re looking for self-starters with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity, is located in the Olive Branch, Mississippi, area.

Major responsibilities

- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Provide support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Maintain, analyze, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

- Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions Requirements – Foundational knowledge in Mac OS

- Mac OS X experience

- Active Directory experience

- Microsoft Windows Server 2008 experience

- MS Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment experience preferred

- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing

- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
