Operate curing equipment used to produce a tire curing bladder, adhering to process specifications, operational safety, quality standards, completing daily work assignments, documentation and checklists as required.
Manufacture bladders according to specifications and schedule, clean and maintain bladder curing area, promoting cleanliness and efficiency.
Responsible for cutting butyl preforms (slugs), operating the bladder presses, trimming and buffing bladders, and following the production schedule.
Responsible for scanning barcode and RFID tags through out the process into the quality process software.
Responsible for following work instructions,safety and quality procedures for the curing process while meeting productivity goals.
Obtain and use appropriate PPE maintaining the condition and storage of such equipment.
Attend and participate in plant productivity, performance safety and quality meetings as required.
Identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement projects.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED.)
Basic mathematical and computer literacy skills.
Superior verbal and written English communication skills
Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of tire bladder manufacturing and specifications preferred.
Current tow motor/forklift operator certification/license.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight and weekend hours.
