This position is part of the University's strategic investment in the signature area of material science and engineering. While applications from all areas of material science and engineering are welcome, we are especially interested in candidates with a research focus in the area of epitaxial electronics and photonics materials. Candidates with strong research expertise in the areas of nanophotonics and nanoelectronics who can leverage the unique in-house material growth capabilities to build advanced devices will also be considered. This position is a joint appointment between the Department of Electrical Engineering (75%) and the Physics Department (25%), with Electrical Engineering being the home department.
Successful candidates will demonstrate collaborative and interdisciplinary synergies with existing research strengths in material science and engineering as well as demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
