Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The individual will be responsible for analyzing water samples using an ICP-OES chromatograph, auto-analyzers using colorimetric methods, and spectrophotometers, analyzing for samples for physic-chemical properties such as pH, conductivity, turbidity, etc. organizing data from the lab information management system, and colleting water samples during routine weekly monitoring and during storm events as needed to meet the goals of the monitoring plans, as well as conducting other duties as assigned. The individual may be required to assist undergraduates and graduate students using analytical equipment to analyze water samples for thesis research projects.Qualifications:
The candidate must hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, natural resources, biological engineering, or closely related field. The candidate must have the ability to communicate scientific data, evaluate water
Minimum of three years of experience is preferred.
