Duties: Drives long-term financial planning by partnering with different departments to assess overall corporate goals; establishes and communicates information about financial targets; identifies and reports risk levels determined for the overall financial plan; provides actionable insights; facilitates consensus about financial decisions across departments. Collaborates with senior management to plan and analyze business performance by identifying gaps between business goals and corporate objectives; provides feedback to management regarding risks associated with financial projects; supports business unit budget process; and provides insight on relevant historical trends, expected future events, and retail trends. Manages complex control structures to mitigate risk of financial misstatement by examining and monitoring at different stages; participates in cross functional teams to develop new processes; ensures proper controls are present in new and existing financial functions; and works to enhance reporting transparency of company financial systems. Provides strategic input for business decisions by producing complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks; prepares presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; participates in business case presentations to senior and executive management; and communicates forecast, assumptions, and variances to senior management. Assists with global consolidation of the company's financial statements, internal management financial reporting, and financial analysis by ensuring the accuracy and inclusion of financial packs from operations; reviews and analyzes balance sheet fluctuations; works with in-country financial teams to resolve financial and timing issues; researches items; obtains and verifies explanations for variances; prepares financial schedules; and completes assigned financial calculations. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; develops, communicates, building support for, and implements business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzes costs and forecasts and incorporate them into business plans; determines and supports resource requirements; evaluates operational processes; measures outcomes to ensure desired results; identifies and capitalizes on improvement opportunities; promotes a customer environment; and demonstrates adaptability and sponsors continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruits, selects, and develops talent; supports mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leverages the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; develops consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supports the Open-Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engages key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supports associate efforts in these areas.
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field plus 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area; OR 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
