Job Title: Senior Analyst Direct Data Management-Walmart
Job Location: Bentonville, AR
The Senior Analyst of Direct Data Management is responsible for handling interactions between Hershey business teams such as Category Management, Sales, Data Strategy, and Supply Chain and external vendors for procuring, validating, and analyzing direct data from key retailers. This role is primarily focused on collaborating with business teams to identify needs, ensure successful implementations of current projects, and strategically map and plan to align the business with Hershey's commercial data strategy.
Areas of focus include Walmart US and International, Sam's Club, and other Strategic Customers within the Hershey portfolio. This role will be the Subject Matter Expert for Strategic Customer data leading key projects to drive adoption and efficiency.
This is primarily a business facing role and requires exposure to key technologies such as Azure databases, visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI/Alteryx, and the ability to deliver in both Agile and Waterfall. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn are critical.
Business Team Engagement - Partner with Hershey Category Management and/or Sales teams across Walmart/Club/Drug to develop and lead the solution roadmap for capabilities and data, driving decision making with customers. Draft functional and technical requirements that clearly articulate the design, architecture, and business objective of needed solutions.
Vendor Management - Lead engagement with supporting vendors to meet business needs, including discussing business needs with vendor, setting priorities, collaborating on business objectives, and helping define future partnership. Also provide support and post implementation monitoring during initial rollout of solutions.
Opportunity Sensing - Participate in strategy sessions to identify high value opportunities that leverage our data to deliver commercial value along with key business partners. Understand business processes and industry trends to research and pilot/POC potential opportunities as needed.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical topics with senior business management.
Proven track record and experience working with medium-size teams, developing and executing strategies, and ensuring operational excellence.
Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations.
Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. You see what's possible, when others may see what's not.
Excellent analytical skills, able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding and dynamic environment to meet overall objectives.
Project management skills; experience with Agile, scheduling and resource estimation.
Ability to motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to autonomously work.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
3-5 years of experience with a combination of IS development/operations, commercial business, analytics and other IS jobs
Demonstrated experience in effective interactions with senior leaders in a Fortune 500 company
Consistent ability to build and manage relationships with business and vendor partners
Strong problem solving and analytical skills to frame up and simplify complex issues, find root causes, and think holistically about solutions
Experience analyzing systems designed by 3rd parties, assessing risk, and calculating business value to influence software product selection.
Comfortable with current Microsoft Office Suite (O365), flowcharting tools, and sharing through Teams (or equivalent).
