The Consumer Loan Specialist is responsible for inter-department review of critical reports to ensure data integrity and interdependency within the Business Unit.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer Quality Control Program which includes: review of production reports, identification of root cause issues, reporting to management and conducting employee training.

Researches, reviews, and interprets existing and pending laws and regulations, which potentially affect the assigned Business Unit.

Assists the Business Unit in establishing and modifying standards and procedures which affect compliance.

Works directly with the Loan Operations Manager to meet quality control and compliance requirements.

Provides ongoing assistance and support to the Loan Operations Manager in administrative responsibilities.

Assists management in maintaining compliance within the Bank's core processing system.

Provides input relative to quality control and compliance matters.

Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, and/or journals or government regulations.

Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence, routine reports, and procedures.

Ability to effectively speak and present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.

Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have good problem solving skills.

Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations, trade journals, and legal documents.

Must have the ability to effectively respond to common inquiries from associates and internal audit groups.


Education and Experience

Previous banking experience preferred.

Computer Skills

MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Database programs
