Key Job Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Operations team
  • Make decisions using detailed analysis and constructive thinking
  • Sustain and improve manufacturing processes at power module producing locations, some international travel may be required
  • Partner with application, product, process and test engineering in the module life cycle to promote initial and sustainable manufacturability
  • Participate in initiatives that include yield and quality improvements
  • Recommend and implement equipment modifications to improve production efficiencies
  • Lead or assist in setting up equipment, production lines and processes
  • Lead and/or help implement process changes and process change review boards

Necessary Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change and implement solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Experience in power module manufacturing
  • Working knowledge and experience with engineering tools such as FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Design of Experiments and structured problem solving methods (8D, 5-Why, DMAIC)
  • >3 years manufacturing experience
  • BS in electrical, mechanical, chemical, materials, process engineering or applied science

Highly Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience using 3D CAD for fixturing and tooling design
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques (5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
  • Expertise with JMP for data review/analytical studies
  • Expertise with power module manufacturing processes (device attach, solder reflow, wire bonding, ultrasonic welding, dispensing, marking and various controls/testing)
  • >5 years manufacturing experience
  • MS/PhD in electrical, mechanical, chemical, materials, process engineering or applied science
