The Military Recruiter is responsible for designing and initiating efforts that deliver holistic and inclusive recruiting strategies, influencing policies that set TA up for success, and cultivating best practices for winning underrepresented talent for Talent Acquisition and the business. The Recruiter owns responsibility for the portfolio of external recruiting partnerships that position AutoZone as a Best-in-Class employer for Military recruiting and sourcing. This person provides strategic consulting to senior leaders and serves as a subject matter expert on military recruiting and sourcing for the enterprise and works to effectively manage the program budget, design, and effectiveness.Responsibilities:
+ Manage strategy and coordination of events for Military Relations.
+ Manage military recruiting events and activities that are focused on attracting exiting military personnel from diverse backgrounds.
+ Create and manage an annual calendar of military base recruitment events and oversee all logistical coordination and implementation.
+ Present and speak with future candidates, often conducting first-line interviews and exploratory conversations around career paths in the distribution and stores environments.
+ Manage the candidate pipeline to find, engage, and attract top military talent across our technical and non-technical teams while also seeking top talent that will be successful in transitioning into Field positions.
+ Work with our existing external military partnerships (i.e. Hiring Our Heroes, O2O, etc.) to socialize and build awareness of our program.
+ Partner with members of Military Talent Events and Programs, and Targeted Sourcing Teams on military talent, lateral (experienced hire) talent, and transitioning military program initiatives and projects to maximize the pipeline of qualified military talent applicants with the goal of turning applicants into hires.
+ Manage the recruiting for all veteran programs including the VET Program, Apprenticeships, Boots2Banking, and other programs to be developed. Serving as recruiting POC for at least one program.
+ Build relationships and develop partnerships with military outplacement, professors, faculty, students, and military groups.
+ Partner with internal communications and external vendors to create marketing and branding programs targeted at military hires.
+ Routinely audit digital, print and presentation materials to be targeted to the appropriate audience while being consistent to brand standards at AutoZone.
+ Lead social media projects and strategy to attract engage military hires and candidates
+ Establish and deliver the roadmap for enterprise-wide military recruiting strategies, tailored by line of business, to include metrics for success.
+ Drive influence to build the systems, policies and processes that elevate TA capabilities and improve recruiting contributions to creating a diverse workforce.
+ Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.Qualifications:
+ Understanding of military talent and how to translate experiences into opportunities within AutoZone.
+ Ability to develop and execute recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing.
+ Ability to shape AutoZone’s military recruiting brand and build awareness of AutoZone Military Recruiting at select military events and career fairs.
+ Ability to provide a “white glove” experience to both referrers and referees of military talent and encourage referral campaigns.
+ Ability to develop and implement operational processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams.
+ Ability to deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience for internal and external candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process
+ Experience staying current with recruiting industry trends, developments, and technologies
+ Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
+ Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
+ Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint)
+ Networking experience within a variety of internal and external military organizations to drive military hiring results
+ 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: recruiting, sourcing, or human resources demonstrated through work or military experience#LI-WM
