Department's Website: of Job Duties:The Department of Mathematical Sciences in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in mathematics to begin August 15, 2022. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment.


The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential or ability to conduct high-impact research in mathematics. Preference will be given to those who can support established research areas as well as enhance the breath of research activities of the department. Additionally, we seek candidates who have an enthusiasm for teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and can supervise both graduate and undergraduate researchers.Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:


A Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related area conferred by the start of employment, together with a demonstrated potential for a successful research and teaching career


Preferred Qualifications:


Preference will be given to candidates whose skills support established areas of the department, as well as enhance the breadth of research activities of the department


Salary Information:Commensurate with education and experience
