Entergy’s Transmission Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory.
Intern Job Description:
Working in a team environment to assist engineers in day to day activities including but not limited to:
+ Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
+ Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations
+ Preparing operational one-line drawings
+ Validate estimating prices and equipment units, ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects
+ Managing projects that are in construction
+ Completion of as-built documentation
+ Participate in weekly planning coordination calls
+ Work on special projects to assist in improving grid reliability
+ Responding to equipment failures
+ Support lab testing and operations
+ Transmission Substation and Line database management
+ Support of business analytic processes through data mining and reporting, as well as performing a wide variety of detailed engineering analysis in transmission-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations
+ Travel may be required for the position
+ Seeking Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil engineering major.
+ Junior and Senior candidate with graduation dates of December 2021 and beyond preferred.
+ Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree as indicated above and at minimum classified as a sophomore or beyond.
+ Minimum 3.0 GPA
