Job Summary

Provide subcontractors with information and direction, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow work to proceed as scheduled. Authority to interpret technical requirements and provide solutions in conjunction with discipline Project Department Engineer and Discipline Superintendent, to provide drawings and data, and to direct work as assigned and consistent with Company’s contractual commitments. Typically assigned to project where the Company has a construction management role.

Key Responsibilities

+ Responsible for planning, developing, issuing, and progress tracking of all CWPs and IWPs for solar basic projects. Participate in all integrated planning sessions associated with IWPs. Produce discipline specific IWPs for basic projects. May coordinate and collaborate with the respective discipline superintendents and/or general foremen to ensure that the IWPs when released to the field already have the “buy-in” of these key individuals. Assists Discipline Superintendent in verifying engineered quantities and coordinate Construction Contractor/craft commodity curves and Project Controls

+ Verify commodities installed and work completion status weekly (at a minimum). Assists Discipline Superintendent in resolving problems or issues related to design information, schedule, change management, safety, and quality. Assists the responsible Field Engineer in the interpretation of Requests for Information (RFI) and manage the documentation flow

+ Provides technical direction/interpretation of design drawings and specification requirements, as well as general guidance to subcontractors on overall design . Reviews, maintains records, and responds to Contractor Information Requests (CIRs) within discipline or as assigned. Monitors assigned subcontractor(s) for compliance with subcontract technical requirements. Monitors discipline construction activities for compliance with CPM schedule. Prepares and issues all discipline extra work authorization requests (RFMPs/WAs) with the approval of the Project Field Manager.

+ Coordinates with Field Subcontract Administrator as needed. Maintains a daily log for site record purposes. Completes quantity take-offs as required to support construction planning and invoice approval. Reviews all subcontractor progress payment requests for acceptance. Monitors technical service representative (supplier) daily logs and reviews/approves their timesheets. Compiles and maintains Conformed to Construction Records drawing and list markups by discipline and assigned subcontractors. Directs site document control activities for design documents. Assists Field Quality Assurance Manager in performing inspections and verification of tests. Adheres to safety and quality standards as appropriate for level of duties and accountabilities. Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements. Reviews, maintains records, and responds to Contractor Information Requests (CIRs) within discipline or as assigned. Monitors assigned subcontractor(s) for compliance with subcontract technical requirements. Individual contributor with no subordinates.

+ Typically 2+ years construction or construction management and/or design experience in similar facility construction

+ Preferred Skills: .Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings and other documents . Ability to do material takeoffs, field estimates . Communication skills . Organizational skills . Safety regulations . Discipline engineering experience

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or an engineering program, offered by a foreign institution, accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing. 0 to 1 year construction management experience in similar facility construction. 1 to 2 years design experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Physical Demands:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.

• See and hear naturally or with correction.

• Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

• Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

• Requires repetitive movement.

• May require work above 5 feet in height.

• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

• Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.

• Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.

• Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.

• Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

• Work around hazardous equipment.
