Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:Provide credit counseling, produce safety training and record keeping education to Socially Disadvantaged and Limited Resource Farmers. Assist with report writing, analysis of data, and management of grants. Supervise student workers. Assist producers in developing farm business and complete applications. Teach and assist vegetable farmers in developing food safety plans for their operations. Educate farmers on the use of conservation program (Environmental Quality Incentive Program) to install land improving conservation practices on their land. Arrange, conduct and present educational meeting (in-person and via Zoom; before, during and/or after normal business hours) for farmers and/or absentee landowners to obtain production, economic, and marketing information needed to be successful. Plan, organize, and prioritize work from multiple projects. Assist to maintain budgets on program grants.
