Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:Primary responsibilities include classroom and clinical teaching. Other duties will include ongoing curriculum planning and review; scholarly activity; professional/instructional development; service to the department, college, and university, including committees, assessment, student recruitment, and retention activities; and other related duties as required or assigned. Nursing faculty includes full- and part-time teaching faculty and clinical instructors. The faculty accepts, first and foremost, the responsibility of maintaining high standards of quality nursing education. With the exception of part-time clinical instructors, each nursing faculty member is a member of the University faculty at large, with all the rights, freedoms, privileges, and responsibilities of faculty. School of Nursing (SON) faculty are responsible for adhering to regulations in the UAFS Employee Handbook and in the SON Faculty Handbook. The position reports to the SON Executive Director.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Hold a current license as a registered nurse in the State of Arkansas.

Hold a minimum of a master's degree in nursing.

Have experience in clinical nursing practice and collegiate nursing education.

Hold membership in professional organizations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
