Department's Website:https://mechanical-engineering.uark.eduSummary of Job Duties:The Fiscal Support Manager in Mechanical Engineering is responsible for overseeing the operations of various fiscal division programs by establishing work priorities and standards of performance and supervising staff.

 

Primary responsibilities and duties include providing financial support for the department by tracking expenses and account balances, processing purchases, reconciliation of e-business charges, coordination of monthly reports, and assisting the Operations Manager with fiscal responsibilities; coordinate payroll activities in the department, including faculty and staff salaries, hourly hiring processes, and costing allocation maintenance; supporting research activities within the department by maintaining purchases and expenses through grant accounts and expenditures in conjunction with Research and Sponsored Programs and Research Accounting guidelines and processes; ommunicating with OSP to ensure timely funding, extensions, and renewals and offer financial tracking assistance and project budgeting to faculty and PI's; oversight of finance-related staff and other administrative duties, as assigned.

 

This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), state and federal laws, and institution policy.
