At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Technical Editor supporting various customers, you will be trusted to work on developing, editing, and producing technical and graphical documentation for a variety of technical systems and platforms . This role will be in Bossier City, LA.

As typical day in the life of a Technical Editor with GDIT include:

+ Developing process flows to capture “As Is” state to look for inefficiencies, bottlenecks or redundancies.

+ Developing process flows to identify “To Be” state for new customers to assist defining work to be performed.

+ Document Standard Operating Procedures for TSS projects with project leads and management.

+ Utilizing SharePoint to manage team activities

+ Updating legacy documentation into current SOPs with SMEs and management.

+ Creating, updating, and managing SharePoint sites as well as document libraries.

+ Creating and editing technical content for TSS customers

Required Skills

+ BA/BS or equivalent years of experience

+ 2 or more years of technical experience

+ Experience writing operating procedure documents, knowledge based articles, SLA, SOW and process flow diagrams (Visio- or similar process/diagram mapping software)

+ Experience with managing multiple tasks

+ Excellent communication and customer interface experience

+ Familiarity with a diverse range of software and systems (Ex. Cyber Solutions, Amazon Web Services, etc…)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Knowledge of BMPN Tools (i.e., Visio, Lucidchart, etc…)

+ Knowledge of ServiceNow is desired

+ Experience with SharePoint repositories and creating and managing workflows

Additional Information

+ Role may require some travel

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 18, 2022 or the start date, if after January 18. Individuals who work in or reside in Texas or Montana or work outside of the United States may be excluded from this requirement.
