Facebook is seeking an experienced analytics leader to join the Infrastructure Supply Chain Analytics team within the Sourcing and Operations Engineering (SOE) organization. They will partner with the leadership team to set strategy on building analytical capabilities to support scaling infrastructure, accelerate automation, gain market intelligence and empower functional teams with data. They will lead a team of analysts to define and execute a portfolio of strategic metrics, decision support/data science solutions, and workflow automations partnering with the supply chain data engineering team.

Required Skills:

1. Own FB’s infrastructure supply chain metric strategy and supporting operational measurements and goals.

2. Build, lead and develop the Analytics solutions development team.

3. Help plan, design, build and operate the supply chain through automation of analytical solutions utilizing large volumes of mission-critical data, to analyze trends, surface anomalies, optimize complex logistics & operations. All while using the latest data technologies, programming languages, frameworks and open-source libraries.

4. Form strong partnerships across the SOE org to collaborate and deploy data analytics product solutions and overall productivity tools.

5. Partner with multiple cross-functional teams in order to define problem statements and design, build and implement solutions.

6. Provide leadership and analytics mentorship to members of cross-functional teams.

7. Oversee development and implement productivity tools based on data analytics which allow our data center pre-ops and operations teams to be more efficient in planning, designing, building and operating the data centers.

8. Design and develop decision-support models (e.g. Monte Carlo Simulations, Anomaly Detection, Decision Trees Models and Optimization techniques) and deploy them in the operations.

9. Help scale and optimize our overall supplier capacity by developing cutting edge tools which improve efficiency and bring automation to our data centers.

10. Partner with the enterprise products, data engineering, and other teams in order to implement, verify and iterate on the analytical solutions being developed.

11. Lead and support various ad hoc projects, as needed, in support of Facebook’s Infrastructure/SOE strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:

12. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or other related technical field

13. 7+ years of experience leading teams and hands-on people management in a matrixed organization

14. 7+ years of experience in building analytics products using Python, R, API integration, and Web Services

15. 5+ years experience applying operations research (OR) concepts (e.g. Monte Carlo Simulations, Optimization, Anomaly Detection, Decision Tree Models)

16. Experienced in deploying data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau)

17. Hands-on experience with datasets (i.e. data extraction, cleaning, analysis and story-telling)

18. System design experience (data modeling, data structures, Design and complexity considerations)

19. Experience in leading cross-functional projects

20. Experience mentoring individual contributors

21. Experience communicating software solutions to all organizational levels

22. Experience with key supply chain workflows and processes including planning, sourcing, procurement, inventory, logistics and manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

23. MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or other technical or engineering field

24. Experience with Hive and MySQL

25. Experience with operations research techniques and strong statistical approach

26. Technical knowledge of technology supply chains and/or data center operations
