This position resides in the Center for Childhood Obesity Prevention (CCOP) which is located on the Arkansas Children's campus at the Arkansas Children's Research Institute (ACRI). This position will be primarily responsible for the development and maintenance of data entry, via REDCap and Piestar, for the CCOP to build and maintain research support portals and data collection tools that enable tracking metrics and progress of research projects, research cores, and the Center. This position will also assist with annual progress reporting to the federal funding agency, National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), and other stakeholders. This position will liaise with external evaluators, the ACRI and UAMS REDCap Administrators, and the Piestar support team. This position will manage external data requests and provide database support to CCOP investigators, as well as, complete other duties as assigned by the CCOP Director of Research Administration.

Database Development and Maintenance:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of CCOP data entry systems, and all research databases.

Responsible for running data reports, tracking CCOP performance and evaluation metrics, and tracking all data for CCOP research projects and research cores.

Responsibilities also include the management of all Data Use Agreements, coordinating with external evaluators, and other data-related duties as assigned by the CCOP Director of Research Administration.

Reporting Functions:

Assists with mandatory reporting to NIGMS, ACRI and other stakeholders.

Responsible for preparing tables, graphs, and other visual representations of CCOP metrics.

General Duties:

Assists with all CCOP training workshops and other CCOP-hosted research activities, including staff meetings, external advisory committee meetings, and the CCOP Annual Scientific Retreat.

Some activities may take place off campus and on weekends or evenings.

Provides administrative support for the CCOP Phase 2 Planning Committees.

Administrative support includes but is not limited to scheduling meetings, assisting with agenda creation, and taking meeting minutes.

Completes other duties as delegated by the CCOP Director of Research Administration.









Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in health care analytics, information management systems, computer information technology or health related field plus five (5) years of research experience including one (1) year of experience in database development and management OR a Master's degree in a related field plus three (3) years of research experience.

May involve occasional travel to annual conferences, quarterly meetings and UAMS main campus (approximately 4-5 times per year).

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint).

Must complete the UAMS Certified Research Specialist (CRS) program within two (2) years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master Degree in healthcare analytics, information management systems, computer information technology or health related field.

Experience with REDCap, Experience working in a research setting.

Experience with relational databases and SQL.
