This position resides in the Center for Childhood Obesity Prevention (CCOP)which is located on the Arkansas Children's campus at the Arkansas Children's Research Institute (ACRI). This position will provide pre and post award support to CCOP investigators on CCOP related research projects. Pre and post award support includes but is not limited to research proposal development, regulatory support and oversight, Institutional Review Board (IRB) assistance, study coordinator services, and compliance reporting. This position will also provide program support which includes but is not limited to assisting the Director of Research Administration with CCOP communications (i.e. newsletter, website, CCOP social media), review and maintenance of CCOP membership list, member regulatory files (i.e. NIH Biosketches, CVs, etc.), and assist with development of Center marketing, training, and reporting materials (i.e. seminar and training workshop flyers, PowerPoint presentations, research posters, etc.).

CCOP Research Project Pre and Post Award Support Pre and post award support includes but is not limited to:
Research Proposal Development
Develop proposal application checklist and timeline for investigators.
Provides assistance to investigators with completion of required proposal application forms and documents to ensure that they meet the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) and CCOP application guidelines.
Pre-award budget development assistance.
Regulatory Support and Oversight
Assists with development of protocol, HIPAA, informed consent, assent.
Assists with study document development (i.e. screening forms, compensation forms, etc.).
Assists with development and maintenance of regulatory binders.
Assists with development and maintenance of ClinicalTrials.gov submission and record.
Assists with delegation log maintenance.
Assists with compliance monitoring and auditing.
Assists with obtaining biological safety and radiation safety approvals, as needed.
Institutional Review Board (IRB) Assistance
Assists with human subject determination requests, development and maintenance of IRB submissions.
Assists with continuing review reporting.
Assists with protocol deviations/adverse event reporting.
Assists with study closeout procedures.
Study Coordinator Services
Study Coordination and Visit Support
Petty Cash Management (e.g., participant gift cards and compensation)
Assists the Director of Research Administration with CCOP communications (i.e. newsletter, website, CCOP social media) by maintaining current lists of faculty research external and internal training, funding opportunities, and CCOP member accomplishments.
Reviews and maintains CCOP membership list and member regulatory files (i.e. NIH Biosketches, CVs, etc.).
Creates charts, tables, and PowerPoint presentations.
Assists with formatting publications and grant applications.
