Position is a critical member of the Cancer Institute CCSG Administration Team. Position will ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished with established priorities, within desired time frames and with appropriate stakeholder engagement. Position will work on a variety of research administration projects and will work closely with other members of Cancer Institute administration, especially members of the CCSG team. Position may also work with Cancer Institute senior leaders and others across campus.

Salary offered commensurate with experience
Responsible for conducting and contributing to essential research administration projects.
Works closely with other staff in Cancer Institute administration, especially the CCSG team, and may work with various Cancer Institute senior leaders and other individuals across the UAMS campus.
Responsible for maintaining internal documentation including policies, SOPs and workflows and CCSG-required documentation.
Assists with recruitment efforts as needed.
Assists with preparations for significant milestones in the attainment or maintenance of NCI designation (eg. hosting external advisory board and ad hoc meetings, preparing the CCSG, preparing for and hosting the CCSG NCI site visit).
Preparation of analytical and visually materials and tools:
Prepares visually dynamic materials for internal communication or presentations.
Creates surveys as needed to assist with evaluation of programs.
Position provides administrative support to meetings including scheduling, agenda creation, catering, managing attendance, preparing meeting materials and taking minutes.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, communications, business, or related field plus five (5) years of project management or a High school diploma/GED plus nine (9) years of project management experience.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must be able to build redcap surveys guide users on best practices.
Must be able to create visually dynamic documents, graphics and Powerpoint slides.
Must excel at formatting Word documents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills required.
Must be a team player.
Ability to think critically and problem solve.
Must work well in a deadline-driven environment.
Must be well organized.
Experience in research administration.
Experience generating and maintaining SOPs and/or policies.
Experience working with IT developers for reporting solutions.
Project management certification.
