Job Description

Duties: Identifies and influences stakeholders by recommending changes based on data; persuading cross-functional teams to implement changes based on data; and building relationships with executives and directors in all cross-functional areas. Develops and directs one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Consults with internal organizations on global strategic initiatives or multi-business initiatives in two or more functional business areas by developing high-level business process plans to achieve strategic goals; prioritizing and executing work streams within global strategies; supporting the integration and prioritization of timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring strategic initiatives achieve financial goals. Develops tools that that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information; determining what information must be reported; ensuring customer needs are met; and analyzing an initiative's impact to the business based on collected information. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES : Oversee data governance by establishing the genesis and lineage of data being generated in various business processes to build data inventory. Devise and implement methodologies for data management, data compliance, and data quality. Standardize and normalize data classification in various applications within global security organization. Design and implement robust analytical data model schemas for seamless consumption of data from across the organization, leveraging traditional as well as big-data/NoSql storage technologies. Statistical data mining for actionable insights using R and Python from data across global security business functions such as Insider-Trust, Facility Protection, Emergency Operations, and Corporate Security. Understand trends and patterns in data and build statistical forecast and prediction models with key target variables such as security incidents, threats, business disruption events etc., thereby aiding in devising better risk mitigation plans and appropriate emergency response. Design, develop, implement, and support advanced AI models to aid in security incident triage, risk detection and mitigation, and insider threat detection, leveraging cutting edge machine learning algorithms such as NLP, computer vision, Graph models. Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports with meaningful insights, trends, and patterns compared with local, national, and global trends that impact the organization and industry. Analyze and categorize the impact of various global security initiatives on security incidents across stores and identify opportunities for enhancement. Prepare Ad-Hoc reports for executive leadership that communicate the comprehensive security scenario of the organization and potential emerging patterns in store violence. Setup and maintain high availability data analysis environment leveraging Azure and Google Cloud Platform. Envision and manage the scope for analytical products and work with cross functional teams for timely delivery and quality control. Train and mentor peers in industry standard statistical modelling techniques and business intelligence dashboards and oversee analytical product delivery for global security data analytics.

 

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 1 year of experience in data analytics or a related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience in data analytics or a related field; OR 5 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
