Description & Requirements
Jack Henry & Associates is seeking an Advanced Level Programmer Analyst. The selected candidate will provide technical support, and perform installations and upgrades for the iAdapter, a software interface/translator that allows JHA core software systems to integrate with in-house and third-party complementary software applications. Support may be for external or internal (JHA) customers organizations.
+ Minimum of four years of programming or IBM i OS experience.
+ Experience with one or a combination of RPG III, RPG IV/ILE, RPG Free and CL.
+ Must participate in an on-call rotation to support customers after normal business hours including weekends.
+ Associates or Bachelor’s degree.
+ Experience with SQL.
+ Understanding of XML.
+ Understanding of TCP/IP, FTP, and other networking protocols is a plus.
+ Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
+ Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.
+ Utilizes SQL and Embedded SQL to diagnose and solve technical issues.
+ Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
+ Provides programming support for various interfaces.
+ Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
+ Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
+ May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
+ Collaborates with other departments, customer IT personnel, and third-party technology providers.
+ Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
+ Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
+ May preform other job duties as assigned.
