Orgill is looking for a Purchasing Data Analyst located in Collierville, TN to be responsible for interpreting product information for digital merchandising applications to build eCommerce websites and manipulating data with Excel, Access and other enterprise level software programs to perform routine but complex data comparisons. The Purchasing Data Analyst will also be an effective communicator, review and assess data sets for completeness and accuracy, and continuously look for improvements in the quality of product content. Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Thorough reporting and database analysis, coordinates with the purchasing teams to support and facilitate effective warehouse replenishments and inventory management.

+ Use Excel and Access to perform routine and sometimes complex data comparisons which include techniques using formulas, concatenate, if-statements, vlookups, ablebites, pivot tables, and other functions.

+ Analyzes inventory situations in multiple warehouses to calculate transfers of product between warehouses or to release product to customers and coordinate with other department to execute and follow up on those transfers.

+ Performs data mining of item and system information to audit for exceptions while continuously looking for quality and accuracy improvements to inventory management databases.

+ Creates and publishes regularly scheduled reports to Orgill management and vendors.

+ Field phone call and complete correspondence.

Success Factors: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Prior experience and comfortability working with databases including an understanding of how relational database systems work and interact with enterprise systems.

+ Excellent analytical abilities to review facts and weigh options when solving problems and making decisions.

+ Ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written so others will understand.

+ Competence to be analytical, organized, and flexible while working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

+ Aptitude to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage one’s own time, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision.

Required Job Qualifications:

+ Bachelor degree is required, within a business-related area is preferred.

+ Advance knowledge of Excel, Access, and Google Sheets.

+ Experience with an automated buying system, especially Blue Yonder is preferred.

+ Required travel to the twice a year Orgill Dealer Market as well as infrequent training opportunities where they present themselves – requirements may vary.

+ Regular on-site, in-person attendance required.
