Job Purpose and Scope:

To perform a variety of daily back office loan functions. This includes assisting new and existing branch locations with performing daily transactions, maintenances and other responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner according to policy and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. General loan file maintenance, coupon requests and code changes
  2. Book Secondary Market, New Start, CRA and Personal Loans
  3. Set up payments via ACH and check by phone
  4. Process requests for charge offs, repossessions and late fee waivers
  5. Process loan loss/bankruptcy payments
  6. Loan payoff quotes
  7. Post incoming wires
  8. File and/or scan documents
  9. Support Loan Officers, Loan Assistance and other front line staff
  10. Post loan payments by mail
  11. Process credit verification requests
  12. Process returned mail
  13. Process returned checks
  14. Review all work from previous day for accuracy
  15. Maintain good punctuality and attendance at work


Marginal Duties:

1. Other duties as assigned.

  1. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  2. Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  3. Ability to learn and perform in a fast paced environment
  4. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions and interest
  5. Ability to multi task and adapt to change
  6. Ability to work without close supervision
  7. Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills
  9. Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 1 year experience with computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  3. Ability to work extended hours as needed
