Job Description

Education: Associates degree (A.A.) in Information Technology or related field.

Training and Experience: Minimum of one year experience with computer operations/operating systems on personal computers and in a mini-computer environment preferred. Job Knowledge: Desktop experience. DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision of the MIS/Communication Director. Individual will be responsible for field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and email in a courteous manner. Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue. Build rapport and elicit problem details from help desk customers. Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution. Will place orders from vendors for parts and supplies needed by MIS/Communications department. Will organize and file pc documentation and software. Will assist MIS/Communications Director and coordinators as needed. Responsible for one shift, five days per week. Incumbent is subject to overtime.
