Schedule: PRN Days

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. The MA works under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse(s) by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

 

 

 

Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height),

Update information on patients' Electronic Medical Record (EMR),

Performs EKG's, dressing changes,

Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.

Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.

Performs administrative tasks by registering and scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc.

May perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

 

Required:

High School Diploma/GED plus successful completion of Medical Assistant Training from an Accredited Program.

Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.

 

Preferred:

1 or more years of MA experience.

Current BLS.
