+ Manages full time exempt direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
+ Define and evaluate Validation Engineering department goals, and performance with assigned areas to prevent and address Validation opportunities for improvement.
+ Establish and oversee Validation program for sites within the Supply Chain network.
+ Responding to RFI’s (Request for Information), RFP’s (Request for Proposals), & RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) for Validation
+ Review and approve Validation documentation for new and existing business opportunities.
+ Define, administer, and continually improve the overall Validation Program and Reporting Methodology.
+ Manage gage repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R) studies to reduce measurement error and variation
+ Must be able to analyze statistical data and provide solutions to complex problems
+ Responsible for leading improvement efforts.
+ Conducts periodic process audits to ensure processes are capable and stable
+ Generates new ideas or methods on how to significantly reduce defects found in operations
+ Performs detailed root cause analysis on quality problems and assist with corrective and preventive action plans

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred and 8-10 years’ experience preferred
+ In lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED and at least 10+ years’ experience is preferred
+ Must have strong working understanding of Validation and compliance with cGMPs.
+ Must have strong working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts
+ Working knowledge of QDM tools preferred.
+ ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black belt certification is a plus
+ Experience with customer contact, and voice of the customer capture.
+ Prior experience working in a continuous process improvement environment required.
+ High level of flexibility to perform in a fast-paced environment.
+ Experience with Quality System Standards such as ISO 9001, TL9000, & ISO 13485 .
+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet complex deadlines.
+ Must be able to motivate teammates and lead cross functional improvement teams.
