We are seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join our team in USON Impact Analytics in a remote capacity in any state except for Colorado.
Responsible for innovating and implementing technical solutions which support The US Oncology Network strategic objectives including value-based care performance, Network growth initiatives, quality metric reporting and other Network related priorities. Provide ownership and oversight of business intelligence application which drives data analytics and ML strategy for US Oncology. Serves in a senior data engineer and senior data architect capacity by implementing technical solutions to solve complex data needs.
Drives the data strategy of US Oncology analytics by defining product and process initiatives and partnering with management and stakeholders
Lead architecting and execution of new cloud-based process and projects, including migration from on premise, to support changing data and analytics landscapes for The Network
Maintain existing processes and projects that support the current analytics organization and initiatives, as well as design and lead the execution of legacy system migrations
Partner with cross-functional teams to provide frameworks and capabilities supporting the greater analytics organization
Develop and maintain callable data pipeline, data integration, and data quality frameworks to support growing data complexity
Serve as a data and architecture mentor for development of Business Intelligence capabilities supporting patient care and practice success
7+ years of relevant experience
5+ years of experience with relation databases (Oracle/MSSQL/Snowflake). NoSQL is a plus
3+ years of relevant development experience in object-oriented programming (Python/Java/C) in an agile methodology
2+ years of data and analytics cloud technologies and tools (GCP/Azure/AWS)
1+ years of demonstratable experience working with EHR data or other complex data sets
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience with object-relational mapping (ORM), and popular Python frameworks (Django or Flask)
Working knowledge of report/dashboard development, data/report automation, self-service capabilities, data design, and integration, or data quality and governance preferred
Familiarity with development tools such as JIRA, Git/BitBucket, Confluence
Familiarity with various application architectures (Microservices, Cloud Architecture, Modular)
Proactively and independently learns and utilizes new technology, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements. Maintains current knowledge of industry technology trends.
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
FHIR model experience is a plus
Oncology and value-based care experience is a plus
Up to 10% domestic
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
