Job Summary:

Under general supervision, uses advanced knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to assist money managers by executing trades based on product models and guidelines. Established procedures and prescribed guidelines are provided to perform a variety of tasks requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity in making routine decisions. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to identify, research, and resolve problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Overlays accounts to pre-defined trading models and executes trades based on product guidelines.

+ Analyzes data for outliers of current positions versus models.

+ Assists with the review of accounts to ensure they meet the portfolio manager’s specifications.

+ Creates block trade allocations and communicates with outside money managers regarding execution.

+ Researches account errors and provide necessary corrections.

+ Updates trading models based on data provided by outside money managers.

+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

+ General knowledge of separately managed accounts.

+ Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.

+ Financial markets and investment products and services.

+ Fundamental mathematical ability sufficient to accurately and efficiently calculate transactions.

Skill in:

+ Advanced analytical skills; identify relationships, draw logical conclusions and interpret results for use in decision-making.

+ Personal resilience while providing a high level customer service to both internal and external clients.

+ Problem solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner

+ Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.

Ability to:

+ Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple activities/tasks simultaneously and complete work efficiently.

+ Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.

+ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

+ Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation…

+ Identifying the needs of customers through effective questioning and listening techniques.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of two (2) years experience in managed accounts within the financial services industry.


+ Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
