DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager will execute interdisciplinary project team management and design/documentation leadership for a broad range of project types. The successful candidate will have a successful track record of managing projects for a variety of private, transportation, and Federal Clients, including such clients as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army, U.S. Airforce, and U.S. Navy. Experience with Federal Clients is preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a track record of creative problem-solving, strong organizational skills, proven project management capabilities, and a thorough technical understanding of construction documents, detailing, constructability reviews, including technical specifications and construction procurement. Responsibilities for this position:
  • Manages technical architectural design team, financials, and client satisfaction areas using consistent processes and tools
  • Manages budget and execute change orders when additional services are requested.
  • Interfaces with staff, federal clients, and senior management
  • Monitors design and construction schedules and advises management of potential delays or issues
  • Manages Federal/DOD related projects including budget and timeline, cost tracking and ensuring all conditions in the contract are met
  • Review the work of other professionals, including QA/QC of plans and specifications, mentoring, training and growing staff in the performance of job duties

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 15 years' related experience
  • Client contact overseeing architectural design team and working with contractors on large scale projects
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts in terms that internal project managers and external clients can understand
  • Able to manage a team of experts to complete quality work products
  • Capacity to prepare winning proposals
  • Detail oriented, ability to multitask, well organized and effectively manage time
  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
