What You Will Do In Your Role
Provide Mold tool and or Molding process concepts and cost estimates for use in proposals, with an emphasis on the cost, cycle time and tool life that will contribute to business wins and managed overall lifecycle cost.
Lead vendor selection using standard specifications.
Provide rapid response to Molding vendor technical questions ensuring On Time Delivery
Evaluate orders to determine whether equipment should be manufactured internally or from outside vendors
Develop manufacturing timelines and communicate progress and/or changes on tooling to Project Engineer and/or Program Manager and Customer Service Representatives
Drive continuous improvement in uptime, and lifecycle management, improvements in spares, refurbs, and replacement tools
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of Molding and or Assembly Processes
Working knowledge of injection molding and materials
Ability to apply critical thinking skills and solve problems
Sense of urgency and ability to multi-task while remaining calm under the pressure
The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technical Field or a combination of tooling experience and education
Experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft office
