Job Description


The Metrics & Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the business in decision making and customer service efforts by providing business intelligence services. This role is responsible for acting as a liaison between technology and business partners, and converting data into meaningful and actionable reporting products.


+ Participate in the collection of reporting requirements through intake and prioritization sessions

+ Recommend quality and system improvements by analyzing the data issues, maintaining and enhancing data iteration processes, and collaborating with system owners to improve upstream processes

+ Create, maintain, and improve new and existing reporting solutions as required by the business

+ Facilitate team request intake sessions as a means to collect reporting requirements and determine project prioritization

+ Manage a designated group of internal and external clients on behalf of the metrics & reporting team

+ Collect, validate, interpret, and organize various types of data into meaningful reports and/or summaries for designated client groups

+ Use statistical analysis and best practices to identify risks and opportunities and define reporting solutions

Required Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, reporting analysis/ development, data analysis, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience

+ 2 years experience in metrics and reporting

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access tools in addition to familiarity with other reporting technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Prior experience with report generating technologies (like Cognos, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, etc.)

+ Prior experience with data consolidation and modeling

+ Experience with writing SQL queries

+ Prior PBM experience or experience working with medical claims, pharmacy claims, healthcare and/or benefits data

+ Experience in the implementation of quality process improvement efforts

+ Experience documenting requirements, creating training materials and working directly with end users

Minimum Physical Job Requirements:

+ Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

+ Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

+ Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

+ Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Potential pay for this position ranges from $54,300.00 – $81,700.00 based on location, experience and skills.
