Description/Job Summary The Electrical Engineer will support process and manufacturing equipment with regards to electrical and design specification of instrumentation based on internal and external customer specifications. Must have knowledge with regards to control logics and preferably PLC experience. The candidate for this role will also use analytical skills, particularly attention to detail, to learn and practice successful design. This includes learning how to plan, schedule, correct, and document the design, eventually performing design independently. Job duties are performed while maintaining regular communications with the team in a supportive manner. THIS IS A SAFETY- SENSITIVE JOB FOR PURPOSES OF THE ARKANSAS MEDICAL MARIJUANA AMENDMENT. * *Responsibilities/Duties 1. Instrument and Control specification for both manufactured and process equipment. 2. Assist in completing the required documentation to obtain design approval. 3. Take lead on equipment design projects. 4. Create and maintain accurate facility and equipment drawings. 5. Interface with contract/construction engineering to ensure standards are met. 6. Create and maintain electrical Bill of Materials for manufactured equipment. 7. Resource for electrical safety management. 8. Resource for industry electrical standards (NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA). 9. Ensure company procedures and processes are followed. 10. Other assignments delegated by management. 11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Required Skills COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED Intermediate: Presentation/PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing Basic: Programming Languages Required Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Technical degree required in Electrical Engineering, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS FE/PE degree Details REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted for years of relevant work experience. Driver’s License Required
