Currently, we are looking for a Supervisor, HR Information Systems to join the ArcBest team. The Supervisor, HR Information Systems is responsible for supervising the Human Resources (HR) Information Systems team, and developing and maintaining HR business processes and systems that support employees company-wide. This position requires extensive contact with the various departments at the corporate level as well as with subsidiaries.

Your contribution may include:

  • Hire, train, supervise, coach, and develop a strong functional HRIS team.
  • Supervise the day-to-day planning and direction of HRIS team to ensure the required service levels, standards, and targets are met and/or maintained.
  • Research, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve HRIS issues, unexpected results, or process flaws.
  • Serve as a back-up to Human Resources Manager.
  • Act as HR Administrator in Workday by providing system support for function HCM teams; including Core HR, Compensation, and Compliance.
  • Train HRIS team and company-wide users on new features and upgrades to the HRIS systems.
  • Prioritize and evaluate potential HCM releases and changes for impact on current business processes.
  • Correct and rescind business processes in Workday, as necessary.
  • Coordinate, approve, and submit supervisory organization restructures.
  • Provide system knowledge transfer and assist with on-the-job training to HRIS team.
  • Effectively coordinate and manage high volumes of information for job changes.
  • Review and determine workforce analytic needs and provide information necessary to develop reporting.
  • Lead team in project planning to meet targets and outcomes.
  • Supervise DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program, random drug testing process and medical certifications.
  • Promote and foster quality customer service.
  • Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills in dealing with conflict and problem solving.
  • Suggest and implement process improvement and knowledge resources to team members.
  • Provide guidance on Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage special projects by preparing and maintaining project plans, addressing project challenges, and ensuring project tasks are completed.
  • Serve as escalation contact for current and potential employees.
  • Oversee the contingent worker process in Workday and legacy system.
  • Review and oversee the distribution of company service awards.
  • Coordinate development and implementation of HR IT projects.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Supervisor, HR Information Systems, you will be a member of the ArcBest Human Resources team in Fort Smith, AR. Your hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Experience: Minimum, three years’ Human Resources experience with the Company, preferred.

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office applications, preferred.

Certifications: PHR Certification, preferred.
