Job Description

Local company hiring Mower Sub-Assembly Workers. SUMMARY: Mower Sub-Assembly Workers perform manual labor in a production line; and assemble parts for the Mower Assembly line. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Basic to complex assembly of small parts manually for Final Mower Assembly • Unpacks parts from cardboard boxes as required. • Requires the use of hand tools, wrenches, and impacts, etc. • Sorts and places material or items on tables, racks or bins. • Employee will be expected to work at fast pace to meet production quota while ensuring Safety and Quality. • May operate forklift and/or heavy equipment or machinery in assigned area if certified. • Reports Safety incidents or property damage to Supervisor immediately. • Report any defective material or questionable condition to production department supervisor. • Picks up, moves and sorts small parts. • Uses small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly • Maintain the manufacturing work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner utilizing Lean and SS principles. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: • Assembly and/or general manufacturing experience is preferred. • There are multiple individual jobs covered by this job description with varying physical requirements. May be required to lift or carry materials of various weights and sizes. • Ability to perform frequent bending and reaching. • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift. • Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff. • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines. • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
