+ SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY – Job Summary (general statement of purpose or objective of position)
+ Assists patients with activities of daily living. Performs basic nursing tasks and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
+ MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – Knowledge, skills, abilities, license, registration, certification, education, and experience
+ EDUCATION: 12 college level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater. (transcripts will be verified upon application).
+ EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KOWLEDGE: Must satisfactorily complete a basic course of classroom instruction and/or demonstrate a working knowledge of required skills. Must retain emotional stability in situations of varying circumstances and exhibit flexibility for various duties. Possesses the knowledge and skill regarding the developmental needs of the patient population served as well as the skills required performing processes involved in the delivery of patient care services to that population. This includes Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Specialty units require and will provide specific specialty education.
+ CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current BLS or must obtain BLS within 30 days of hire
+ PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to walk, sit, twist, bend, and stand for extended periods. May be exposed to infectious diseases with protective measures and follow up treatments provided.
