Job Description

Duties: Participates in technical discussions with cross functional teams for program level deliverables and software architecture using Agile methodology. Participates in discovery phase of medium to large projects to develop high level design. Designs and develops high quality software features and functionality using latest technologies and frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra, Cosmos), relational databases (e.g. DB2, SQL Server). Engages in unit and integration testing of the web services to provide optimized performance for high throughput-low latency applications. Improves performance using queueing (e.g. Kafka, ActiveMQ) and event processing (e.g. Storm, Spark) technologies. Performs code reviews to ensure software code quality with knowledge of ‘git’ or another source code management tool. Optimizes software systems and designs to improve performance and scalability. Participates in end to end service implementations, data feeds ingestion, and orchestration. Troubleshoots business and production issues and drive for quick resolution. Works across geographic boundaries to assist offshore engineers to understand technical specifications and business logic.


Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.


Skills required: Must have experience with: Design and develop software application using latest technology and framework like JAVA, Spring and Hibernate; Latest frontend application frameworks (React, Angular and Angular JS); Coding in Object Oriented Programming language (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript and Objective C); Relational database (DB2 and SQL); Agile Methodology for software development; Queue processing using Kafka; Project Management and Bug Tracking (JIRA); Writing unit testing using Jest, Jasmin, and Karma; Version Control tools (Git and BitBucket); and Continuous Integration Using Jenkins.
