Licensed Technical Dexter, MO Imaging Full-Time Apply Description Day ShiftTo provide patient services using imaging modalities. Performs radiographic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. + Evaluates radiographs for technical quality.

+ Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations and procedures, and the ages of our patients range from newborn to the geriatrics.

+ Practices aseptic technique as necessary.

+ Assists with administration of contrast media and is familiar with possible reactions and appropriate response to such reactions

+ Recognizes signs and symptoms of an emergency and determines course of action.

+ Assists physician with contrast media.

+ Initiates life support measures for patients, if necessary.

+ Assumes responsibility to assure exams and procedures

+ Maintains IV skills if working weekdays.

+ Contributes to patient records.

+ Assumes responsibility for assigned area.

+ Provides input for equipment and supply purchase decisions.

+ Instructs specific units of didactic and/or clinical education, in the radiography program, if applicable.

+ In the absence of a supervisor, assumes acting supervisory responsibilities if requested

+ Assumes responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program.

+ Pursues ongoing continuing education.

+ May control inventory and purchase of supplies for assigned area.

+ Regularly assists in the clinical experience of the student of the student technologist.

+ + Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds.

+ Performs other duties as assigned


+ Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Radiography Program, or equivalent

+ Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent

+ Competency in components of radiography practice as appropriate, as demonstrated over first 90 days

+ Within 90 days, employee must exhibit proficient computer skills

+ Must be able to read, write and speak English
