The Manager of Social Work Services position provides leadership and management of the social services needs of the mentally ill. MANAGER OF SOCIAL WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Complete monthly chart audits to monitor compliance with regulatory standards and submit data for Performance Improvement report. Work with the Director of Clinical Services to develop action plans and staff training for areas of deficiency (A minimum of 12 documented clinically relevant trainings per year)

+ Assist with filing Court Committals and attending hearings

+ Manage Valley Behavioral Health’s Intern program and work with the Director of Clinical Services to provide supervision and review of student intern progress toward earning goals

+ Assist the Director of Clinical Services with review and revision of department policies on an annual basis and as needed

+ Review Psychosocial Assessments for accuracy and completeness, co-sign in a timely manner when completed by unlicensed staff

+ Monitor and maintain Compliance with timely completion of documentation

+ Oversee compliance with Mindyra outcome measures and patient satisfaction survey completion: report compliance and plans for improvement in monthly Quality meetings

+ Review and analyze clinical and operational performance results. Develop plans for improvement as needed.

+ Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.

+ Develop and implement behavioral health processes, procedures and policies across programs.

+ Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning and reporting processes as appropriate.

+ Support compliance by adherence to accreditation standards as well as standards of funding agencies and licensing boards.

+ Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

+ Master’s degree in Social Work required.

+ Two or more years’ experience working with the population of the facility required.

+ Two or more years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
