Arkansas Health Group (a division of Baptist Health) seeks a Physician, Internal Medicine to work in the Little Rock / North Little Rock metropolitan area at: 9601 Baptist Health Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
DUTIES: Perform the general duties of a physician in the medical specialty of internal medicine hospitalist. Provide ongoing inpatient and outpatient care; manage and treat common health problems such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or influenza; treat problems of the skin, brain, lung, heart, kidney, or gastrointestinal tract such as infections, pneumonia, heart failure, and urinary tract infections; prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; manage and treat serious, chronic and complex illnesses in adolescents, adults, and the elderly such as sepsis; work cooperatively with other physicians; provide reasonable amounts of charity care; and provide professional, teaching, research, and/or administrative functions, as reasonably required. Teaching duties include: providing clinical observation and does not require any classroom teaching. Teaching duties may include real-world, hands-on training of residents and students with patients requiring internal medicine hospitalist services. Duties also include supervision and evaluation of residents/students clinical activity with patients as part of the clinical curriculum. These duties account for less than 10% of total duties of the position.
REQUIRES: Must have a MD, or foreign equivalent (MBBS); must have completed residency program in Internal Medicine; must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in internal medicine; and must be licensed or eligible for license to practice medicine in the state of Arkansas.
