Department's Website:https://advancement.uark.edu/offices/index.phpSummary of Job Duties:The Director, Event Engagement will plan and execute signature events for the Office of the Chancellor and Division of Advancement. Develop event strategies and incorporate feedback mechanisms and metrics to deepen engagement among constituents. Advances relationships across campus and the community to enhance event experiences.

Creates, in collaboration with, the Engagement Team, specifically the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Engagement, a strategic plan for Events. Analyses gaps, priorities, opportunities and challenges and then modifies needs for the successful delivery and implementation of the Events strategic plan

Researching event engagement trends in higher education and across SEC and peer institutions.

Benchmarking data and anecdotal evidence of current successes.

 

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

 

At least one year of direct supervisory experience

 

At least three years planning and executing large-scale events

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

 

At least five years planning and executing large-scale events

 

Proven success in conceptualizing and implementing new, creative ideas in event design or production
