Sr. Analyst, Marketing Strategy & Planning
American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses, supporting small business owners and companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The Marketing Strategy team sits within the Marketing Strategy, Content & Experiences team in the Global Marketing organization, focused on creating and launching impactful go-to-market strategies that address customer needs and business priorities to drive business value. This position will support a Senior Manager in leading out go-to-market strategies (visual identity, messaging, activation strategy & tactics, multi-channel approach, etc.) for GCS’s top product priorities, including new product launches and refreshes. This is a high visibility role with the opportunity to shape how we go to market with B2B products and services.
+ Drive strategic thought leadership for how we deliver new products to market in a customer-first, breakthrough way
+ Coordinate creative & visual identity development with creative agencies and collaborate with cross-functional partners and colleagues
+ Provide regular status reports and results to Marketing Managers and other key stakeholders
+ Partner closely with key internal partners such as Brand, Customer Marketing, Acquisition Marketing, and Product Management
+ Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a marketing and/or strategy related role (financial services experience is a plus).

+ Detail-oriented project manager who can oversee multiple projects and tasks to deliver both flawlessly and efficiently
+ Strategic thinker who can interpret customer data to create a compelling story

+ Solution oriented and ability to overcome roadblocks – willingness to pivot and thrive in the face of change quickly
