Summary : The Virtual Design and Construction Intern is responsible for supporting VDC team/project teams in virtual design and construction activities. Typical Duties :

+ Assist in generating and maintaining high quality Building Information Models and content for project teams.

+ Work with drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.

+ Provide technical support for all staff on VDC applications.

+ Create 4D schedule visualizations.

+ Assist with building model coordination meetings.

+ Assist in developing system models of different detail level for all construction trades as necessary.

+ Assist Preconstruction in quantity takeoff activities.

+ Implement new technologies with project teams.

+ Create visualizations for site logistics.

+ Safety Sensitive position.

Qualifications :

+ Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and team leadership ability.

+ Demonstrate excellent written communication skills.

+ Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills.

+ Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with professional, friendly presentation.

Requirements :

+ Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.

+ Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.

+ Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively.

+ Ability to problem solve.

+ Ability to work in a constantly changing technical environment.

Physical Demands :

+ Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.

+ Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

+ Ability to work in heat or cold, work outside, and work in high elevations.

Work environment:

+ Office, cubicle or work station, job trailer, or job site.
