SUMMARY: This position will be a member of the Continuous Improvement Team supporting Poultry or Prepared Operation. The position works within a team environment and is responsible for developing, maintaining and educating, and optimizing operational equipment both on a web-based platform and in person, on the floor training. This position will also work with the operations team, engineering team, safety, and human resource teams to ensure communication is consistent between Standards, CI and Operations in order to optimize the equipment and processes on the floor. This position is also engaged with all pillars of TPS with a heavy emphasis on production process control. The position serves as change champion associated with enterprise-wide initiatives that support our internal systems.REQUIREMENTS:
+ Education: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience and/or registration (by examination) as a Professional Engineer.
+ Experience: 3 years applicable experience in the food industry, or entry level experience with accredited engineering degree; knowledge of and experience with the business processes related to poultry manufacturing preferred.
+ Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels of the organization. Excellent leadership consultative and interpersonal skills; demonstrated organizational skills and results-oriented focus.
+ Special Skills: Knowledge and use of computer programs, spreadsheet, database and scheduling programs. Microsoft exposure preferred. SAP MM QM and PP PI modules a plus.
+ Supervisory: None
+ Travel: Extensive Travel
